Insurance & costs, made simple

Do I have the right insurance, and will it pay for my treatment? Very likely, yes. Here’s a straightforward guide to sorting it out.

Insurance coverage

Who pays for what

We keep invoicing simple and use the industry-standard tariffs for conventional medicine and complementary therapy. Consult the guide for a quick overview, and reach out anytime with questions.

Medical Services

All medical services are covered and charged under the basic insurance. This means all Swiss basic insurances recognize Dr. Pfefferkorn’s services. A referral may be needed based on your insurance model.

Complementary Therapy

Complementary therapy is covered and charged under the complementary insurance. Nadia Banna is recognized by EMR and ASCA, the Swiss registers for empirical and complementary medicine, and directly by the insurers EGK and Visana. Between them, that covers essentially every Swiss complementary insurance that reimburses the Alexander Technique. Please still confirm your cover with your insurer before your first appointment: the exact terms depend on your individual policy, and we’ll have to invoice you for anything it doesn’t cover.

Self-pay patients

You can also pay for your treatment yourself, for example if you don’t live in Switzerland or don’t have complementary insurance. In that case we’ll issue a standard invoice for you to pay directly.
